Saudi Rheumatism Association Receives Silver Corporate Social Responsibility Accreditation (CSR-A)
The Charitable Association for Rheumatism Patients—Saudi Rheumatism Association—has received the internationally recognized CSR-A Silver Accreditation from the European institution for accrediting social responsibility standards, becoming the first Arab charitable association in the Middle East to do so.
The accreditation was announced during the opening of the “International Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Organizations' Efforts to Eradicate Poverty,” held under the theme “Global Partnership to Eradicate Poverty” and organized on Saturday by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility and the International Union for Social Responsibility.
The Association received CSR-A accreditation in recognition of its substantial efforts to create a positive impact across every pillar of social responsibility and its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals. It developed a comprehensive corporate social responsibility program designed to achieve a tangible, positive impact through its services. The Association's social responsibility strategy is aligned with local, regional and global development objectives, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), of which the Association implements eight. The Association's Executive Director, Mr Mohammed Al-Tufaili Al-Zahrani, said that the Association works continuously and diligently to attain the highest levels of accreditation in social responsibility and humanitarian services. He affirmed that Rheumatism Association's Silver Accreditation in Corporate Social Responsibility is compelling evidence of its success and continuity in this field, inspiring it to embrace further challenges and responsibilities towards its beneficiaries and the services it provides. Al-Tufaili added that the Association is committed to making a positive impact in its local community through the four pillars of social responsibility it has adopted - beneficiaries, employees, the environment and the community. Each pillar represents a social dimension of the Association that it upholds in order to preserve a better quality of life for its beneficiaries. The Association values its relationships with all beneficiaries of its services. It spares no effort in providing them with essential services and works diligently to meet their needs. It has established measurable strategic objectives through which it seeks to achieve leadership in the charitable sector and in social responsibility. Al-Tufaili emphasised that the Rheumatism Association contributes to Saudi Vision 2030 across its three pillars - a vibrant society, a thriving economy and an ambitious nation - as well as to the Ministry of Health's National Transformation Program for the healthcare sector.
