About us

Who we are

The Saudi Rheumatism Association is a charitable nonprofit organisation licensed by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector under license number 773 and technically supervised by the Ministry of Health. Its services cover all regions of the Kingdom through its head office in Riyadh and branches in Dammam and Abha. The Association provides medical, therapeutic and psychosocial support for adults and children with the greatest need and promotes awareness that reduces the impact of rheumatic diseases on patients, their families and the community.

Leadership and excellence in securing healthcare and wellbeing for people living with rheumatic diseases.

Mission

To secure a better quality of life for people living with rheumatic diseases through distinguished health and social services and by raising awareness in partnership with relevant organisations.

Strategic Objectives:

1 – Process automation: complete transformation into a digital organization by applying the latest standards in information-systems automation, thereby improving the efficiency of operational, technical, and scientific activities at every level
2 – Design and implement programs and projects efficiently and to a high standard
3 – Develop information technology
4 – Achieve financial stability to ensure that the Association can continue fulfilling its mission
5 – Raise administrative efficiency
6 – Activate the role of public relations to improve beneficiaries’ perception of the Association

Operational Objectives:

1 – Provide, purchase, and distribute medications

2 – Provide psychological and social support

3 – Establish, operate, and manage specialized medical centers

4 – Perform joint replacement surgeries bariatric surgeries for rheumatism patients, and joint replacement surgeries for patients with osteoarthritis and joint degeneration

5 – Support research and studies

6 – Provide direct medical care

Provides prescribed medication so patients can continue their treatment plans.

Home Medication Delivery

Delivers medication to beneficiaries’ homes when distance or mobility is a barrier.

Target audienceRegistered beneficiaries unable to collect medication because of distance or health limitations.

Qader Joint Replacement

Helps patients regain mobility through joint replacement and related care.

Target audienceEligible patients with a documented clinical need for joint replacement.

Musanadah Support Services

Non-pharmaceutical support including tests, imaging, laboratory work and medical aids.

Target audienceEligible patients who need supportive services to complete their care plans.

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

Specialist sessions that relieve pain and improve mobility and daily function.

Target audienceRheumatology patients referred for physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Awareness, Education and Events

Campaigns, events and health content promoting rheumatology knowledge and early detection.

Target audienceThe public, patients, families and people interested in health.
