During the visit, Al-Malki watched a presentation on the treatment and healthcare services the Association provides to its beneficiaries. He expressed his pleasure at seeing its programs and plans firsthand and learning what it offers beneficiaries and people seeking treatment. Association Executive Director Mr. Mohammed Al-Tufaili Al-Zahrani explained that the Charitable Association for Rheumatism Patients devotes every possible effort to serving, caring for, and standing by rheumatism patients. He described supporting them under these circumstances as a national duty and an implementation of the State's directives—may God support it. In accordance with its strategic plan, the Association seeks to cover every region of the Kingdom, particularly the areas of greatest need. He said the Association welcomes rheumatism patients and registers them as beneficiary members eligible for the medical services delivered through its programs. He emphasized that its systematic work continues throughout the year, guided by the Board's vision, to implement approved plans and programs, meet beneficiary needs without interruption, and pursue initiatives and activities that fulfill patients' aspirations. These include the Mutual Aid Treatment Program, the Medication Shortage Program, the Rheumo Heroes Program for children with rheumatic diseases, the Developmental Housing Program in cooperation with Developmental Housing, the Enable Them to Settle Program, which furnishes beneficiaries' housing units, the “Qader” initiative for joint replacement surgeries supported by the General Authority for Awqaf, and a number of other specialized programs and initiatives. Al-Tufaili invited public- and private-sector organizations, businesspeople, philanthropists, and benefactors across the country to support the Association's initiatives and programs, which help rheumatism patients achieve stability. http://www.alriyadh.com/1838900
